Pre-sales Solutions Architect

We’re looking for a Mid-West based candidate to partner with our Head of Solution Architecture as a Technical leader engaging with our customers. This candidate will have several years of professional work experience working as a solutions architect or systems engineer with technical pre-sales experience. The ideal candidate will also have operational experience in delivering/running cloud managed services and/or professional services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical liaison between our customer’s engineering & support teams as well as internal sales leadership.
  • Become a thought leader by educating and sharing best practices, building deep relationships with Sr. Technical leaders, contributing to publications, white papers, seminars, etc.
  • Collaborate with the business Development and Sales Teams to achieve success in building highly stable distributed applications, services, and software on the AWS platform.
  • Design and Execute a sales strategy to achieve revenue objectives formulated around the right service offering for the customer.
  • Understand and Communicate the value proposition of AWS in Architectural discussions with clients to ensure solutions are designed and deployed successfully.

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
  • 10+ years’ experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
  • 5+ years relevant experience in technology/software sales
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies Technical degree or equivalent experience required; Computer Science or Math background highly desired
  • Proven ability to sell both professional and managed services into Enterprise accounts as the Pre-Sales Engineer
  • Experience writing SOW’s, RFPs, and contractual paperwork.
  • Technical and operational acumen with developing solutions for pricing of cloud migration and managed services
  • Solid understanding of the technical and operational strengths and weaknesses of competition in the cloud professional services & managed services space.
  • Demonstrated competency developing, nurturing and maintaining executive relationships across IT, Product Engineering, Finance and other functional groups impacting IT decision making
  • Track record juggling the pursuit of multiple opportunities across different lines of business
